Why the camera sometimes needs a drag
Tweetcraft supports both a captured mouse pointer and a drag-to-look camera. In a normal desktop game window, click inside the world to let the game capture your pointer. Move the mouse to turn; use Esc to release it.
When pointer capture is unavailable, or the game is running in a framed view, it can switch to drag controls. Click and drag inside the world to look around. A short left click attacks, and a short right click places or uses. In Survival, holding the left button mines, so use a right-button drag when you want to turn without mining.
If you just returned from another window, your first click may only refocus the game. Click again before assuming the mouse controls have failed. Opening the original game in its own window can also make desktop control more comfortable.
Creative flight and building shortcuts
In Creative, double-tap Space to toggle flight. Hold Space to rise and Shift to descend. On a touch device, double-tap the jump button to toggle flight. Flight is part of Creative; do not expect the same shortcut to enable ordinary Survival flight.
Press E to browse Building Blocks, Colored Blocks, Natural Blocks and Functional Blocks, or use Search Items. The middle mouse button picks the block under your crosshair into the hotbar in Creative. Use 1–9 or the wheel to change your selected slot.
If the block selection works but placement does not, read the world’s building rule. The owner can reserve building for X-linked players or for themselves.
Survival inventory and item use
Hold left mouse on a block to mine it. Tools affect mining and harvesting, so a block breaking does not guarantee it will drop a resource. Right mouse interacts with usable blocks and places your selected block. Hold the use action for food or to draw a bow.
Press Q to drop one item or Ctrl + Q to drop the stack. Inventory includes a small crafting grid; use a placed crafting table for the larger grid. See the early crafting recipes before spending your first logs.
Touch controls on a phone or tablet
Drag the left movement stick to walk and drag across the world to look. Tap a hotbar slot to select it. The up arrow jumps; the down arrow sneaks or descends. Menu, inventory and chat are available through on-screen buttons.
| Survival button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hit | Tap to attack; hold to mine. |
| Use | Use or place; hold to eat or draw a bow. |
| Drop | Tap to drop an item; hold and release to drop the stack. |
The extra Survival action buttons are hidden for spectators. If you joined Hardcore as a guest, missing mining and inventory controls follow the mode’s spectator rule. WebGL 2 is still required on a touch device.
Camera, interface and player-list shortcuts
F5 cycles camera views, F1 toggles the interface, and holding Tab opens the player list. Some laptops require the Fn key to send function-key presses.
Open the game menu to change Distance or use Fullscreen when the browser offers it. For a slow or unresponsive session, use the browser and connection guide.
