Tweetcraft not working? Loading, controls and building help

Fix the right Tweetcraft problem: WebGL 2, camera input, protected spawn, guest spectators, building permissions, server errors and render distance.

“This game needs WebGL 2”

This message means the game could not create the graphics context it needs. The original game recommends a recent version of Chrome, Safari or Firefox. Try the original game directly in one of those browsers.

  1. Update your browser, then close and reopen the game.
  2. If you entered through an app’s built-in browser, open the same link in your normal browser.
  3. Check whether browser graphics acceleration has been disabled.
  4. If the message continues, try another compatible device or browser.

Touch controls do not remove the WebGL 2 requirement. These browser checks can help isolate the issue; they cannot guarantee that every device supports the game.

The mouse moves, but the camera does not

Click inside the game world to focus it and allow pointer capture. If you have just switched back from another window, the first click may only restore focus. Click again, then move the mouse.

If the cursor is still free, use click and drag to turn. Tweetcraft has a drag-camera fallback for framed views and browsers where pointer capture is unavailable. In Survival, a right-button drag avoids holding the mine action while you turn.

Use Esc to release a captured pointer. The on-screen menu button is another route to the game menu. See all desktop and touch controls if movement works but a specific action does not.

You can move, but cannot mine or build

Start by checking the world and mode. Three different rules can look like a broken mouse:

What you seeLikely ruleNext step
A protected-spawn reminder in SurvivalMining and building are disabled near spawnChoose Go exploring, use /wild, or walk out
A Creative world that restricts buildersThe host allows X-linked players or only the ownerFollow the host’s rule or choose an open-building world
A Hardcore world entered as a guestGuests spectateUse the game’s account flow or choose another mode

If a block breaks but leaves no resource, check your tool instead. Ore harvesting requires the correct pickaxe level; the harvesting table lists the early requirements.

The server list or a world will not load

If Multiplayer says it could not load the server list, use Refresh. The game also distinguishes a full world from one that is not responding. Use Try again when available, or return to Multiplayer and try a different world.

These are world or connection symptoms, not evidence that your device lacks WebGL 2. If another world works, keep the original world link and retry it later. Avoid creating a replacement world just to work around a temporary join problem.

When the game displays an offline or reconnecting state, wait for the connection to recover before relying on new actions. If repeated attempts fail across worlds, test the same original-game link in another normal browser session.

The game loads, but feels slow

Open the game menu and lower Distance. The available values are 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. A smaller value draws less of the world around you and is a sensible first performance adjustment.

Close other graphics-heavy tabs and try the game in its own window. On a phone, give the controls enough room; landscape orientation may be more comfortable. These are practical device adjustments, not promises of a specific frame rate.

If you changed Distance and want more of the horizon back later, raise it one step at a time while checking whether movement stays comfortable.

A new world is waiting for its creator

A creator must finish the game’s X-post publishing flow before a new world opens. Creating the terrain is only the first step. The creator posts the world on X, then pastes the post’s link back into the game and completes the account check.

If you are a visitor, ask the creator to finish publishing or return to another world. If you are the creator, follow the Publish your world panel in the same browser you used to create it. The world creation walkthrough explains the sequence.

Your account became a guest

The game can report that your X account signed in somewhere else and return the current session to guest play. Check your other devices or open game windows. Use the original game’s account flow when you need to restore the intended identity.

Keep your world link before changing browser settings. Clearing the original game’s site data can remove browser-held identity and world references, so it should not be the first response to an ordinary loading problem.

For help with the game itself, use the creator’s official Discord. Describe the world, mode, device, browser and exact on-screen message so other players can understand the issue.
